This product is a crushed limestone that complies with Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works, clause 803 (SHW 803). This product is a prefered product by many civil engineering companies due to its mechanical properties and look. It's grading specification is 40mm to dust.

Whilst still complying with the same legislation as the traditional type 1 sub-base, this limestone product is produced with reduced fines (not zero fines). The product is created by screening dust out of a type 1 sub-base aggregate, producing a product more suitable as a drainage layer.

This product is screened to 0-4mm. The dust can be used for 'blinding' on civils works. It can also be used as temporary back-fill on sites, along with various other purposes.

Available in sizes 4-10mm, 6-14mm, 10-20mm and 20-40mm. Commonly produced in gritstone or limestone formate and acts as a drainage layer where pipes are to be bedded. It is easily workable and the larger size's can be used as an alternative to crusher run where drainage is essential.
